Senior Principal Engineer, Digital IC Design
Role Summary
Lead architecture definition, micro-architecture, RTL development and HW/SW co-design for advanced CXL and SoC products. Work across cross-functional teams to deliver production silicon and drive productization.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Define architecture and micro-architecture for SoC/IP targeting CXL and data-center products.
- Perform performance modeling and system-level analysis to meet product requirements.
- Develop RTL and lead HW/SW co-design efforts across teams.
- Drive designs from architecture through tape-out, post-silicon validation, and productization.
- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to improve productivity and quality.
- Engage with customers to translate workload requirements into hardware/IP specifications.
- Monitor industry trends and propose incremental and forklift improvements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Deep understanding of SoC architecture, processor cores, memory and peripheral interfaces.
- Proven track record leading SoC and IP development and delivering production silicon.
- Experience taking designs through tape-out and post-silicon bring-up to productization.
- Strong system-level performance modeling and HW/SW co-design experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to interact with customers and translate application/workload needs to hardware specifications.
- Self-driven, highly motivated, with curiosity to learn new technologies.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior work on CXL or composable datacenter technologies.
- Experience driving productivity improvements and tooling for RTL/SoC flows.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 25+ years of related professional experience; or a Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with ~15–20 years of related experience.
