Senior Principal Engineer, AI Systems and Solutions

Role Summary

Lead the definition and execution of system-level validation strategies across performance, power, and thermal domains and drive the transformation of validation methodologies using Generative AI. Deliver scalable AI-powered frameworks that automate validation planning, test generation, coverage analysis, and execution while partnering with architecture, design, software, and product teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 15+ years of experience in silicon, platform, or system validation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on validation strategy, automation, and technical leadership.

  • Define and lead system-level validation strategies for performance, power, and thermal characterization.
  • Design and deploy GenAI/AgenticAI solutions to automate test-plan generation, test development, coverage modeling, and gap analysis.
  • Develop scalable validation automation frameworks and validation workflows.
  • Embed validation and automation requirements early with architecture, design, software, and product engineering teams.
  • Establish best practices for AI-assisted validation and continuous process improvement.
  • Use data-driven metrics to measure, benchmark, and optimize validation efficiency and coverage.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers adopting advanced validation methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Deep experience in system-level validation, including performance, power, and thermal domains.
  • Proven experience building and deploying validation automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and automation tools.
  • Experience applying Generative AI and large language models to engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives across architecture, design, software, and validation teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills; track record of driving organizational adoption of new methodologies.

Nice-to-have: background in data analytics, machine learning, intelligent workflow automation, and experience with AI-assisted test generation and coverage analysis.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field. The posting also specifies 15+ years of relevant validation experience.
