Senior Principal Electrical Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate mixed-signal and power-management integrated circuits for space and high-reliability markets. Work with product, process, test, applications, and marketing teams to take designs from concept through production transfer.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include technical design, program management, and cross-functional integration.
- Define product requirements with marketing, applications, and customers.
- Transistor-level design of mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative power-management products.
- Apply knowledge of power process technologies to architecture and circuit decisions.
- Manage program schedule to meet delivery objectives.
- Validate and debug designs prior to production transfer.
- Coordinate with process, test, product, application, and marketing teams through release to production.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Thorough understanding of integrated analog circuit design.
- Deep knowledge of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies and circuit techniques.
- Experience in large power transistor (bipolar and DMOS) design, layout, and robustness.
- Strong experience with switch-mode power topologies (boost, buck, multi-phase, control methods).
- Proficient with Cadence tools for analog design and mixed-signal simulation.
- Experience with behavioral top-level modeling and mixed-signal verification methodology.
- Experience with analog/digital interfaces and digital buses.
- Knowledge of gate-driver techniques and control systems.
- Radiation-hardened power-management product experience — desirable.
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Degree requirements in posting: MSEE with 10+ years, PhD with 8+ years, or BSEE with 15+ years of relevant industry experience. Fields referenced imply Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or closely related technical disciplines; equivalent practical industry experience is acceptable per the listed alternatives.
