Senior Principal Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior RTL design engineer responsible for digital RTL implementation and SoC integration within the Noida R&D team. Deliver RTL design, perform lint/CDC/RDC analysis, and collaborate with verification and physical-design teams to meet product requirements.
Work in a product development environment on advanced semiconductor designs and support team-level design reviews and documentation.
Experience Level
Senior-level - typically requires 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Implement, review and optimize RTL for digital blocks and SoC-level integration.
- Perform lint, CDC and RDC analysis; diagnose and resolve design issues.
- Incorporate physical-design requirements (timing, area, power) into RTL during design phase.
- Prepare and maintain design specifications, test reports and technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain internal tools and scripts to support the design flow.
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings with verification, physical design and system teams.
- Mentor and assist team members across design and verification stages.
Requirements
Core technical and professional requirements.
- Extensive hands-on experience in RTL design, SoC integration, and lint/CDC/RDC methodologies.
- Strong foundation in digital electronics and computer architecture.
- Proficiency in at least one of: Verilog/VHDL, C/C++, or Python for design and scripting tasks.
- Ability to translate physical-design constraints into RTL-level implementation decisions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with industry EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
- Experience developing internal tools and automation scripts.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
