Role Summary

Member of Cadence's Flagship Emulation and Prototyping product line focused on protocol and system-level features. The role drives design, verification, and productization of protocol IP (for example PCIe and advanced Ethernet) and supports FPGA-based prototyping and board-level integration.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, modify and productize protocol products such as PCIe and advanced Ethernet.
• Implement RTL logic design and perform RTL debugging.
• Develop and run verification environments and flows (UVM-based verification when applicable).
• Perform FPGA design and board bring-up/debug for prototyping (Xilinx platforms).
• Investigate and resolve protocol/system integration, electrical and timing closure issues.
• Produce technical documentation to support product releases and customer integration.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Experience in logic design and debug.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• RTL design experience using Verilog.
• Experience with RTL verification tools and verification flows.
• FPGA design experience for Xilinx products (strongly recommended).
• UVM verification experience (desired).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, or C-shell (desired).

Education Requirements

Requires MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
