Job Title
Senior Principal Analog/RF Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead design and verification of analog and RF subsystems for next-generation wireless transceivers (UWB and related applications) across Automotive, Mobile, Industrial, IoT and Consumer markets. Work within a multidisciplinary IC team to deliver production-ready mixed-signal silicon.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Expectation: 15+ years of analog/RF design experience (or equivalent experience with an advanced degree).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on circuit design, verification, and cross-functional coordination to move designs from concept to silicon and product release.
- Create and develop Analog/RF systems and sub-systems using industry best practices for design, verification, and testing.
- Write verification plans and develop automated test benches; produce and validate behavioral models (Verilog-A/AMS, SystemVerilog-RNM, Wreal).
- Design and verify Analog/RF blocks (Transmitter, PA, LNA, filters, ADCs, etc.) up to ~20 GHz using standard design flows.
- Collaborate with IC layout engineers to optimize performance, isolation, and power; ensure DFT and manufacturability considerations are addressed.
- Host design and verification reviews and support lab evaluation, characterization, and testing.
- Work cross-functionally with mixed-signal, digital/systems, software, applications, and test teams to meet specifications and schedules.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and interns to improve team productivity and design quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience required for day-one contribution, plus preferred skills listed separately.
- 15+ years of analog/RF design experience or equivalent experience at senior levels.
- Proven circuit design experience on Transceivers and analog/mixed-signal blocks on advanced CMOS nodes.
- Excellent practical knowledge of the Cadence Virtuoso design environment.
- Experience with behavioral modeling and verification of analog/mixed-signal blocks.
- Strong teamwork, independent problem-solving, and clear communication/presentation skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with high-frequency RF designs and taking chips through product release.
- Familiarity with EM field solvers (Momentum, EMX, HFSS) and RF layout/EM interactions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field is listed as required; a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field is preferred. The posting also permits equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree-based requirements.
