Senior/Principal Analog IC Circuit Design Engineer
NXP SemiconductorsJob Title
Senior/Principal Analog IC Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Develop analog/AMS ICs and IP in the Personal Health domain (hearing aids, implants, personal health monitoring). Based in Eindhoven, you will translate system requirements into design specs, lead IP and subsystem design and verification, and support validation and customer delivery across sites.
Experience Level
Senior-level; typically 5+ years of relevant analog IC development experience, including subsystem-level ultra-low-power CMOS design and validation.
Responsibilities
Deliver analog IP and ICs from specification to customer-ready silicon.
- Translate product and system requirements into design requirements and specifications.
- Define and evaluate IP concepts; plan and manage subsystem/IP design and verification.
- Design, simulate and verify analog circuits; coordinate layout and perform post-layout/extracted simulations.
- Model and verify analog/AMS behavior using behavioral models (Wreal, Verilog).
- Manage analog IC integration tasks: interface descriptions, floor planning, pin positioning, ESD, DFT.
- Support bench validation, bring-up, debugging of customer samples, and ongoing customer support.
- Prepare technical documentation: design reports, verification plans, validation plans.
Requirements
Core technical requirements and desirable skills.
- Proven analog IC design experience, with focus on ultra-low-power CMOS at subsystem level.
- 5+ years of experience across IC development lifecycle, including validation, production testing, and packaging.
- Independent, structured, quality-oriented engineering approach; good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Proficient with Cadence design environment and experienced with MATLAB.
- Experience with behavioral modeling for AMS verification (Wreal, Verilog) and post-layout simulation.
- Programming skills preferred: Python, Skill.
- Customer-facing experience and willingness to travel to other sites.
- Domain experience in ASICs for hearing aids or health sensors is a plus.
