Role Summary
Lead analog and mixed-signal design for power management converters and power delivery solutions within the Power Delivery group of Advanced Power Systems. Deliver architecture, transistor-level designs, verification, silicon bring-up, and cross-functional coordination for automotive and robotics products.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 10 years of relevant experience in analog and mixed-signal transistor-level power management design.
Responsibilities
Accountable for the full lifecycle and technical leadership of complex analog/mixed-signal IC developments.
- Define architecture and specifications; translate product requirements into robust circuit solutions balancing performance, area, power, cost, manufacturability, and functional safety.
- Lead design, verification, validation, and production release activities; own technical risk assessment and mitigation.
- Design and review power-management circuits including references, converters, control loops, protection circuits, and mixed-signal subsystems.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design best practices.
- Coordinate with system architects, digital/AMS verification, layout, product engineering, validation, functional safety, reliability, and program management across global sites.
- Support silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, and customer issue resolution.
- Drive innovation through new circuit techniques, patents, publications, and technology scouting.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 10+ years designing analog and mixed-signal transistor-level circuitry for power-management applications.
- Strong analog circuit design theory and control theory with a track record of original circuit solutions.
- Experience with bandgap references, amplifiers, oscillators, detection circuits, linear LDOs, and switching regulators.
- Experience with DC-DC converters, switched-capacitor converters, and load switches.
- Proven ability to perform architecture reviews, design reviews, silicon evaluation, and root-cause analysis.
- Effective collaboration and technical leadership across global teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Hybrid converter design experience (highly preferred).
- Familiarity with mixed-signal design tools and flows; ability to read and write Verilog-AMS models.
Education Requirements
Minimum M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required; Ph.D. preferred.
