Senior Principal Analog Application Engineer — Custom / Electromagnetic Flows

Role Summary

The Principal Analog Application Engineer works with customers developing heterogeneously integrated solutions in the RFIC, RF module, and multichip module design space. The role drives adoption of Cadence systems solutions for electromagnetic and thermal analysis, provides technical consultation, and partners with sales, engineering, and marketing to deliver customer-focused flows and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Engage directly with customers on RFIC, RF module, and multichip module design workflows.
  • Advise and help customers adopt heterogeneous integration, electromagnetic, and thermal analysis solutions.
  • Consult to capture flow requirements and design tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Deliver technical presentations, hands-on training, and product demonstrations, including customized material.
  • Support technical evaluations, benchmarks, and proofs-of-concept.
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify and prioritize opportunities and support sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Marketing to communicate requirements and drive issue resolution.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills.

  • Must-have: Minimum 10 years practical experience with Cadence custom schematic and layout tools.
  • Must-have: Working knowledge of electromagnetic solvers and analog simulation.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, planning, and presentation skills.
  • Must-have: Ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Nice-to-have: CAD experience setting up Cadence tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with parasitic extraction flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is specified.
