Senior Pre-Silicon Reliability Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Pre-Silicon Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA Networking (Mellanox) in Yokneam to develop pre-silicon reliability models and DPM/FIT predictions for high-speed Network ICs (Switch, NIC, SmartNIC).
The role bridges architecture, design, foundry data and post-silicon results to support product signoff and mass-production readiness.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years of relevant pre-silicon reliability, quality & reliability (Q&R) experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include modeling, prediction, and cross-functional coordination to ensure reliable Network-IC products.
- Collaborate with architecture and design teams on reliability-related requests and analyses.
- Model and develop long-term reliability and failure-rate (DPM/FIT) prediction models for Network-ICs.
- Integrate pre-silicon predictions with post-silicon data to drive product decisions and optimizations.
- Engage with foundries to incorporate process and manufacturing data into reliability models.
- Monitor and supervise signoff methodologies, product-specific reliability decisions, and waiver processes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
- 5+ years experience with IC pre-silicon quality & reliability (Q&R) activities.
- Experience in foundry reliability modeling and using reliability data to inform design/product choices.
- Familiarity with IC design phases and the ability to read and communicate in design-engineering terms.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, self-directed learning, and the ability to lead cross-functional efforts.
- Effective communication skills across diverse teams and functional groups.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of IC DFT techniques.
- Experience with industry timing tools and verification (RV) tools/methods.
- Background or experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
