Senior engineer responsible for post-silicon logical debug of Core CPU designs. Collaborates with architecture and design teams, develops debug tools and methodologies, and provides customer-facing technical support to ensure CPU quality and performance.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of CPU debugging experience focused on Core CPU logic and design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead logical debug of Core CPU designs and diagnose complex logic issues encountered during validation and in customer systems.
- Collaborate with architecture and design teams to ensure implementation aligns with architectural intent, with emphasis on DFD and DFX methodologies.
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers; respond to debug requests and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain debugging tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and capability.
- Continuously identify and implement process and tool improvements to reduce debug time.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication across hardware, software, and validation teams worldwide.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in CPU debugging with emphasis on Core CPU logic and design.
- Proficiency with industry-standard debugging tools and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of CPU architecture and design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience interacting with and supporting customers on technical issues.
- Nice-to-have: experience with CPU verification techniques and advanced DFD/DFX practices.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
