Senior Physical Verification Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Physical Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Senior engineer responsible for full-chip physical verification and signoff for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs in Bengaluru. The role drives DRC/LVS/antenna signoff, advanced 3D die-stacking verification, and flow automation while working with P&R, timing, IR, library, methodology and CAD teams.
Experience Level
Senior - 5+ years of experience in physical design verification, full-chip integration, and tapeouts on advanced process nodes.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading signoff activities, verifying heterogeneous integrations, and improving verification flows.
- Own physical verification for the full chip: take designs from block-level assembly through full-chip integration and tapeout on advanced nodes (e.g., TSMC A16, TSMC 3nm).
- Lead full-chip signoff (DRC, LVS, antenna) across block, partition, and top levels; drive convergence to a clean tapeout database.
- Verify 3D die stacking and heterogeneous integration, including die-to-die interfaces and stitching dies from different process nodes.
- Enable signoff for advanced technologies such as backside power delivery and nanosheet GAA transistors.
- Develop ML/LLM-driven automation for root-cause analysis and flow optimization to reduce iterations.
- Partner with methodology and CAD/technology teams to define and deploy correct-by-construction flows.
- Collaborate with P&R, Timing, IR, and Library teams to drive design closure on schedule.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Strong understanding of physical implementation and VLSI design concepts.
- Expertise with signoff tools such as Calibre, ICV, EDI, and FC.
- Good understanding of RTL-to-GDSII flow: synthesis, place & route, CTS, timing convergence, and layout closure.
- Experience with full-chip integration and tapeouts on advanced technology nodes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective cross-functional communication.
- Nice-to-have: experience with 3D die stacking/heterogeneous integration and ML/LLM-based automation.
Education Requirements
BE / BTech / MTech (or equivalent). Equivalent practical experience accepted.
