Senior PCIe Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify PCIe controller ASICs for GPUs, SoCs and DPUs by developing scalable, reusable verification testbenches and infrastructure. Define verification scope, create coverage-driven test plans and tests, and work with architects, designers, and silicon validation teams across product generations.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of unit/sub-system/SOC level verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels.
- Design and implement UVM or Specman/e based reusable testbench components (constraints, stimulus, monitors, checkers, scoreboards).
- Develop coverage-driven test plans, tests, and verification infrastructure; run simulations and analyze results.
- Integrate testbench components across verification environments and methodologies.
- Collaborate with verification teams, architects, RTL designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to debug and close issues.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog.
- Expertise in verification of industry-standard IP or interconnect protocols (PCIe, CXL, UCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and using functional coverage based constrained-random verification environments.
- Strong knowledge of verification methodologies such as UVM or Specman/e and reusable testbench architecture.
- Familiarity with industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with both UVM and Specman/e.
- Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
