Job Title
Senior or Staff Engineer, Advanced Modeling & AI Solutions
Role Summary
Lead design and deployment of agentic and LLM-powered modeling solutions that accelerate semiconductor process, packaging, and early manufacturing decisions. Work at the intersection of physics, data, and engineering within the Technology Development team to build production-ready AI and physics-based models integrated with design and fab/test environments.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Senior or Staff). Specific years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end AI and modeling solutions and integrate them with engineering and manufacturing workflows.
- Design and deploy physics-based, ML, and LLM-powered models for process, packaging, and manufacturing workflows.
- Architect agentic AI systems and digital twins that integrate with modeling tools, EDA, and fab/test platforms.
- Define and promote best practices for reliable production deployment of LLMs and agentic systems.
- Evaluate and improve model performance using structured benchmarking, prompt tuning, RLHF, and feedback loops.
- Translate modeling outcomes into clear insights and visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- Experience developing machine learning models on large, diverse datasets.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML systems with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, including work with LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Experience deploying ML pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience evaluating and improving model performance (benchmarking, prompt tuning, RLHF, feedback loops).
- Ability to create clear data storytelling and technical visualizations.
Nice-to-have (preferred):
- Proven track record leading AI/ML projects in semiconductor design, process technology, validation, or manufacturing.
- Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and production LLM deployment.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen) and evaluation tools (e.g., AgentEval).
- Experience building agentic architectures, multi-component pipelines, and knowledge bases/ontologies from disparate data sources.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
