Senior ODM Quality Engineer
Role Summary
As a Senior ODM Field Engineer based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, you will support ODM field quality, system-level troubleshooting, RMA management, and SMT process tuning for server platforms. You will coordinate with internal engineering teams and ODM partners to accelerate field problem resolution and improve platform reliability.

Senior β approximately 8 years of semiconductor-related experience expected.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Manage ODM field quality issues and RMA operations, track status, define corrective actions, and drive closure.
- Collect field logs, perform system-level triage, reproduce issues when possible, and prepare debug summaries and FA/RMA updates.
- Coordinate issue resolution across engineering, quality, operations, and ODM teams; provide short-term onsite support overseas when required.
- Support platform setup, unlock operations, and test execution during incident response and debugging.
- Assist SMT process fixes during new product introduction: stencil evaluation, solder paste deposition assessment, reflow profile tuning, yield monitoring, and analysis of common soldering defects.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- About 8 years experience in semiconductor-related roles such as field quality, RMA handling, ODM support, server platform support, or system debug.
- Practical experience with system-level triage, log collection, diagnostic tools, and issue isolation.
- Hands-on knowledge of SMT processes including stencil build, solder paste printing, reflow, and common SMT defects; ability to tune processes to improve yield.
- Strong coordination and issue-tracking skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and support short-term onsite activities.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with hyperscaler, AI, or data-center servers and high-density server boards.
- Familiarity with server diagnostic outputs (BMC/BIOS logs), Linux commands, and stress-test tools.
- Experience with soldered CPUs, large BGA packages, and advanced SMT tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with SMT failure analysis methods (X-ray, cross-section, dye-and-pry) and quality closure processes (8D, 5 Why).
