Senior NPI Technical Program Manager – Operations

Role Summary

Individual contributor responsible for managing Operations New Product Introduction (NPI) from tape-out to production release for NVIDIA silicon products. Works within Silicon Operations and matrixed GM teams to coordinate ASIC, product, test, system, software engineering, planning and supply functions.

The role focuses on schedule ownership, cross-functional communication, risk mitigation, process improvement and ensuring products are ready for production at scale.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 8+ years of experience in engineering or technical/program management roles.

Responsibilities

Deliver and track operational NPI milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and improve NPI processes.

  • Own and maintain the Operations NPI schedule; identify critical paths, constraints, risks and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communications across ASIC, product, test, system, software, planning and program teams; report progress and roadblocks to management.
  • Lead NPI meetings, ensure qualification plans, checklists and specifications support production release.
  • Develop and manage engineering wafer and hardware risk plans; own internal and external sample supply.
  • Define and own metrics for supply commits, production ramp and release turning points; manage NPI budgets/OPEX.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and speed to market.
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, logistics and quality teams to create processes and metrics for Ops functions.

Requirements

Must-haves include technical program management experience, semiconductor process knowledge, and strong cross-functional leadership and communication.

  • Minimum 8+ years in engineering or technical/program management roles focused on hardware or semiconductor products.
  • Strong engineering background with demonstrated ability to track detailed technical work while maintaining high-level program view.
  • Proficiency with program management and planning tools; ability to analyze and improve supply chain processes.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and cross-functional influencing skills.
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing flows and processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. Master's degree is preferred. Project/Program Management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus. Equivalent practical experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
