Job Title

Senior NPI Product Engineer

Role Summary

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs from concept through end-of-life. Coordinate cross-functional teams to define DfT/DfM, oversee characterization and ATE-to-bench correlation, optimize yield and test time, and transfer products to full-volume manufacturing.

Work focuses on advanced CMOS and BiCMOS products operating at data rates of ~25–400 Gbps for AI data centers, PON, and 5G applications.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in semiconductor product, test, or design engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program leadership, test and characterization strategy, data analysis, and manufacturing handover.

  • Lead and drive NPI programs from product concept through final release and transfer to volume manufacturing.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Design, Test, Validation, Characterization, Quality & Reliability, Applications, Operations) to meet program milestones and specifications.
  • Define Design for Manufacturability (DfM) and Design for Testability (DfT) requirements and provide implementation feedback to design teams.
  • Support development, verification, and optimization of ATE test programs to meet coverage, cost, and test-time targets.
  • Develop and execute wafer-level and bench characterization plans across PVT; perform ATE-to-bench correlation and PCM analysis.
  • Perform statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), yield modeling and process capability studies to identify and resolve yield limiters.
  • Work with foundry, packaging, and test suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues; drive failure analysis and corrective actions for field returns.
  • Prepare NPI product release documentation and OSAT/manufacturing transfer materials; maintain product lifecycle and continuous improvements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior product engineers.

Requirements

Required technical skills, tools, and domain knowledge.

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in semiconductor product, test, or design engineering.
  • Experience with quality systems and corrective action processes (8D, non-conformance, failure analysis).
  • Strong competency in statistical theory and data analysis tools for DOE, yield reporting and modeling (examples: Excel, JMP, Galaxy, dataConductor).
  • Experience in product characterization, ATE-to-bench correlation, PCM analysis, and yield optimization.
  • Knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
  • Familiarity with JEDEC and/or MIL quality requirements.
  • Experience with high-speed ATE test platforms or equivalent rack solutions is an asset.

Education Requirements

BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The posting specifies a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in addition to the degree requirement.
