Job Title

Senior NPI Product Engineer

Role Summary

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor ICs, driving products from concept through full-volume manufacturing. Work within the NPI Product Engineering team and collaborate with Design, Test, Characterization, Quality, Operations and other cross-functional teams to ensure products meet specifications, yield, and manufacturing requirements.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 8 years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

The role owns NPI execution, testability/manufacturability strategy, characterization and yield optimization, and manufacturing transfer.

  • Lead NPI programs from concept through product release and transfer to full-volume manufacturing.
  • Coordinate cross-functional milestone reviews, timelines, and program logistics.
  • Define and drive DfM/DfT requirements and ensure implementation in design and test plans.
  • Support development, verification and optimization of ATE and bench test programs; drive ATE-to-bench correlation.
  • Develop and execute wafer-level and bench characterization plans across PVT conditions; analyze ATE/bench data.
  • Plan and run Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve performance, reduce test time, and resolve yield limiters.
  • Manage failure analysis, root-cause resolution, and corrective actions with foundry/packaging teams.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation and OSAT transfer materials; maintain product lifecycle and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Mentor junior product engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

Key technical skills and domain experience required to perform the role.

  • Must-have: Experience in semiconductor product, test or design engineering with demonstrated work on NPI or production transfer processes.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with quality systems and failure-analysis processes (corrective actions, 8D, non-conformance reporting).
  • Must-have: Strong statistical and data-analysis skills; experience with tools such as Excel, JMP, Galaxy, or equivalent for DOE, yield reporting and modeling.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed ATE platforms or equivalent rack solutions (Advantest, Teradyne).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with JEDEC and/or military quality requirements.

Education Requirements

BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience (as stated in the job's minimum qualifications).
