Senior NPI Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor ICs, driving products from concept through full-volume manufacturing. Work within the NPI Product Engineering team and collaborate with Design, Test, Characterization, Quality, Operations and other cross-functional teams to ensure products meet specifications, yield, and manufacturing requirements.

Senior β minimum 8 years relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
The role owns NPI execution, testability/manufacturability strategy, characterization and yield optimization, and manufacturing transfer.
- Lead NPI programs from concept through product release and transfer to full-volume manufacturing.
- Coordinate cross-functional milestone reviews, timelines, and program logistics.
- Define and drive DfM/DfT requirements and ensure implementation in design and test plans.
- Support development, verification and optimization of ATE and bench test programs; drive ATE-to-bench correlation.
- Develop and execute wafer-level and bench characterization plans across PVT conditions; analyze ATE/bench data.
- Plan and run Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve performance, reduce test time, and resolve yield limiters.
- Manage failure analysis, root-cause resolution, and corrective actions with foundry/packaging teams.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation and OSAT transfer materials; maintain product lifecycle and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mentor junior product engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
Key technical skills and domain experience required to perform the role.
- Must-have: Experience in semiconductor product, test or design engineering with demonstrated work on NPI or production transfer processes.
- Must-have: Familiarity with quality systems and failure-analysis processes (corrective actions, 8D, non-conformance reporting).
- Must-have: Strong statistical and data-analysis skills; experience with tools such as Excel, JMP, Galaxy, or equivalent for DOE, yield reporting and modeling.
- Must-have: Knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed ATE platforms or equivalent rack solutions (Advantest, Teradyne).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with JEDEC and/or military quality requirements.
Education Requirements
BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience (as stated in the job's minimum qualifications).
