Senior Networking Architect, Space Systems
Role Summary
Lead system architecture for high-speed networking systems intended for space deployment, focusing on power, thermal, ASIC and system-level requirements to ensure performance and reliability in space environments.
Collaborate with architecture, logic design, firmware, system software and hardware teams to define and drive system-level designs for InfiniBand, NVL and Ethernet switches used in space applications.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of experience in space systems or equivalent.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and lead system and ASIC requirements (power, thermal, reliability) for hardware destined to operate in space.
- Architect and document system-level designs for high-speed networking products (InfiniBand, NVL, Ethernet) for space deployment.
- Coordinate and integrate work across architecture, logic, firmware, system software and hardware teams.
- Drive development and implementation to meet performance, reliability and schedule targets.
- Manage projects, provide technical leadership, and resolve system-level design issues.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- 8+ years of experience with systems for the space environment.
- Demonstrated experience building and integrating systems for space missions, including component integration and environmental considerations.
- Expertise in system-level design for high-speed networking hardware.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven leadership, project management, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- High attention to design quality and detail.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
