Job Title
Senior Networking Architect, Space Systems
Role Summary
Senior system architect responsible for defining and delivering system- and ASIC-level architecture for high-speed networking switches (InfiniBand, NVL, Ethernet) intended for space deployment. The role focuses on power, thermal, reliability and system integration to ensure performance of compute clusters sent to space.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of experience working on systems for the space environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, requirements and delivery of networking systems designed for space. Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software and architecture teams to meet performance and reliability targets.
- Define and lead architecture and system requirements for power, thermal, and ASIC subsystems for space-deployed networking systems.
- Craft ASIC and system-level requirements for switches and networks to be sent to space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, logic design, system software, firmware, hardware) to ensure cohesive implementation.
- Lead development and implementation to achieve world-class performance and reliability in space conditions.
- Manage projects to meet schedules, deadlines and performance targets.
- Ensure high design quality with attention to detail and verification of system requirements.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills required to perform the role.
Must-have:
- 8+ years of experience in space environment systems.
- Proven ability to build and integrate systems for space using diverse technology components.
- Deep understanding of system-level requirements for space (power, thermal, reliability, radiation/qualification considerations).
- Experience defining ASIC and system requirements for networking equipment.
- Strong communication, leadership, project management, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to design quality and detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with InfiniBand, NVL or Ethernet switch architecture.
