Senior Network Engineer, System Verification

Role Summary

Join the End-to-End Cloud verification team to design and execute tests for Ethernet/InfiniBand NICs, adapters, and switches. The role focuses on building test topologies, automating verification, and reproducing complex customer scenarios.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 8+ years of practical experience in networking/storage system verification.

Responsibilities

Work across verification stages to validate networking and storage features in large-scale and customer-like topologies.

• Contribute to design reviews and define product feature requirements across NIC and switch portfolios.
• Design and build test topologies that emulate large-scale and complex customer environments.
• Develop and lead test automation efforts; mentor automation engineers.
• Plan and execute POCs to evaluate new approaches and features.
• Generate comprehensive test reports, reproduce customer issues, and work with R&D to determine root cause.
• Act as engineering PIC for full verification cycles and release execution (regression, performance, functional, scale).
• Report test progress and summarize testing activities for stakeholders.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and practical experience required for successful execution of the role.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in network/storage verification and testing.
• Significant hands-on experience with Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of L2 and L3 network protocols.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to independently plan and complete work.
• Fast learner with outstanding technical skills and ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes).
• Background with NAS and/or SAN storage systems.
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python) for test automation.

Education Requirements

B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in IT/Network Engineering. Equivalent experience in relevant technical fields is acceptable.
