Senior MTS - Product Development Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Member of Technical Staff (MTS) will lead the definition, verification, and optimization of full-chip test methodologies and on-chip DFT strategies. This role partners with design, software, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure testability, quality, and timely product delivery.
Experience Level
Senior-level - typically requires 10β15 years of semiconductor product development experience, including leading complex projects from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include technical leadership across the product lifecycle and continuous improvement of test strategies and processes.
- Lead product development cycles from pre-silicon design through post-silicon validation, ensuring testability and performance targets are met.
- Define, verify, and optimize full-chip test methodologies and on-chip DFT implementations.
- Introduce and champion technical innovations that improve test coverage, efficiency, and product quality.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (design, software, manufacturing, product) to embed test capabilities throughout the lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and build high-performing teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline development and strengthen compliance.
- Anticipate, assess, and mitigate technical risks to protect product integrity and delivery schedules.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience in DFT, full-chip test methodologies, and silicon validation.
- Deep expertise in defining and optimizing on-chip test strategies and test flows.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills for resolving complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers and to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to influence technical decisions.
- Track record of driving process improvements and managing technical risk in product development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (degree in a related engineering discipline with equivalent experience is acceptable).
