Job Title

Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver high-speed SerDes circuits (targeting 80Gbps and above) in advanced FinFET and deep-submicron CMOS processes. Own the transistor-level design flow from architecture and schematic through layout, verification, silicon bring-up, and characterization while working closely with layout and system teams.

Base salary range: $168,000–$264,500 (Level 4) or $196,000–$310,500 (Level 5). Eligible for equity and company benefits.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 5+ years of professional analog build experience, with demonstrated leadership on transistor-level designs and post-silicon validation.

Responsibilities

Accountable for end-to-end high-speed SerDes development and cross-functional coordination.

  • Own SerDes architecture and transistor-level circuit design from concept to silicon.
  • Develop schematics, guide layout, and perform verification using industry-standard tools.
  • Optimize circuits for noise, power, timing, and loop stability in deep-submicron FinFET nodes.
  • Provide floorplanning and high-speed routing guidance to layout engineers to preserve signal integrity.
  • Lead post-silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, and iterate designs based on measured data.
  • Create and validate analog and mixed-signal models to support top-level verification and timing closure.
  • Collaborate across teams and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to drive delivery.

Requirements

Key technical requirements and tools.

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional analog build experience, with significant FinFET and deep-submicron CMOS background.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and strong experience with simulation tools such as Spectre, HSpice, FineSim, or XA.
  • Expertise in noise analysis, Monte Carlo techniques, and control-loop stability for high-speed designs.
  • Practical experience in high-speed data and/or clock path design.
  • Proven ability to model analog and digital circuits for timing and functional verification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams.

Education Requirements

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
