Job Title

Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify high-speed analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for next-generation interconnect (NVLINK) products. Work on transistor-level architecture, schematic design, simulation, and silicon characterization within a mixed-signal design team.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies 2 years of industry analog design experience; role expects senior responsibility for architecture, design ownership, and silicon characterization.

Responsibilities

Core duties include design, verification, and silicon bring-up of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits.

  • Develop and implement high-speed interfaces and analog circuits at 25 Gbps and above.
  • Define circuit requirements and deliver designs from schematic through layout and verification to silicon characterization.
  • Perform schematic and transistor-level design in deep-submicron CMOS processes.
  • Use industry EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso and similar) for design and verification.
  • Optimize circuits to meet system performance specifications (noise, stability, timing).
  • Provide layout guidance and floorplans for matching and high-speed routing; collaborate closely with layout engineers.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; plus items indicate desirable attributes.

  • Must-have: Industry analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience (specified as 2 years in posting).
  • Must-have: Experience with CMOS analog/mixed-signal design in deep-submicron processes, especially FinFET.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with analog IC design and simulation tools (Cadence IC design environment, Spectre, HSpice, Finesim, XA).
  • Must-have: Experience creating testbenches and performing component and top-level circuit verification, including behavioral modeling.
  • Must-have: Analog simulation skills for noise analysis, loop stability, AC/DC/transient analysis, and Monte Carlo.
  • Must-have: Strong debugging and analytical skills for pre- and post-silicon issues.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience supporting post-silicon bring-up and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Education Requirements

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with strong analog design background, or equivalent practical experience.
