Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join a mixed-signal design team focused on high-speed interfaces and analog circuits for NVLINK and other product lines. The role owns transistor- and circuit-level design through verification and silicon characterization.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires a minimum of 5 years of analog/mixed-signal industry experience.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver high-speed analog/mixed-signal blocks from specification to silicon support.
- Define circuit requirements and implement schematics, layout guidance, and verification.
- Design high-speed interfaces and analog circuits operating at data rates of 25 Gbps and above.
- Perform transistor-level design and optimization in deep-submicron CMOS (including FinFET).
- Verify circuits using industry EDA tools and simulation (noise, stability, ac/dc/tran, Monte Carlo).
- Collaborate with layout engineers on floorplanning, matching, and high-speed routing constraints.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years analog/mixed-signal design experience in industry.
- CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience in deep sub-micron processes, especially FinFET.
- Hands-on use of Cadence IC design environment and analog simulators such as Spectre and HSpice.
- Experience creating testbenches and behavioral models for analog/digital verification.
- Expertise in analog simulation techniques: noise analysis, loop stability, ac/dc/transient, Monte Carlo.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills for silicon bring-up.
- Nice-to-have: experience at multi-Gbps link rates, experience with Finesim/XA or similar tools.
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with strong analog background, or equivalent practical experience.
