Senior Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on the mixed-signal design team developing high-speed interfaces (NVLINK) and analog circuits for NVIDIA products. Responsible for designing, simulating, verifying, and bringing high-speed transceivers and PLLs from concept through silicon characterization.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting requests at least 4+ years of CMOS analog / mixed-signal design experience.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on hands-on circuit design and lab support across the full product cycle.
- Design and implement high-speed interface circuits (transceivers, high-frequency PLLs).
- Perform circuit simulation, verification, and design-for-manufacturability tasks.
- Lead and mentor mask/layout designers; provide floorplan and layout guidance.
- Support silicon lab characterization, bring-up, debugging, and instrumentation use.
- Take designs through implementation and productization; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 4+ years of CMOS analog / mixed-signal circuit design experience.
- Hands-on experience with data converters, Tx/Rx, CDR, and PLL design for high-speed I/O.
- Proficiency with Cadence custom design tools, circuit simulators, and timing analysis tools.
- Proven silicon bring-up and debugging experience using lab instrumentation.
- In-depth understanding of deep-submicron CMOS process effects on circuit design.
- Experience leading and mentoring designers; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of system-level timing budgets, signal integrity, and power integrity.
- Experience with Verilog, MATLAB, and Nanotime.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) is expected; PhD preferred. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable per the posting.
