Senior Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the mixed-signal design team responsible for next-generation NVLINK high-speed interfaces. The role owns design work from architecture and transistor-level design through layout guidance and silicon characterization for links operating at 50 Gbps and higher.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience in industry.
Responsibilities
Primary engineering responsibilities include end-to-end analog/mixed-signal circuit development and post-silicon support.
- Define circuit requirements and deliver designs from schematic through layout, verification, and characterization.
- Perform schematic and transistor-level design in deep-submicron CMOS technologies.
- Architect and verify TX/RX, clocking/PLL and other high-speed analog blocks using industry EDA tools.
- Optimize circuits to meet system-level performance, noise and timing specifications.
- Collaborate with layout engineers on floorplanning, matching strategies, and high-speed routing.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging and characterization activities.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 5+ years analog design experience in industry, with hands-on mixed-signal circuit design.
- Proven CMOS analog/mixed-signal design experience in deep-submicron processes, especially FINFET nodes.
- Experience with Cadence IC design environment and analog simulators (Spectre, HSpice, Finesim, XA, or equivalent).
- Ability to create testbench environments and behavioral models for component and top-level verification.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills; experience with noise analysis, loop stability, AC/DC/transient and Monte-Carlo simulations.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience designing high-speed interfaces and PHYs at 50 Gbps and above.
- Direct experience with TX/RX, clocking, and PLL designs for link interfaces.
Education Requirements
Master of Science or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a strong analog design background.
