Role Summary
Design and deliver high-speed analog/mixed-signal SerDes and related circuits in advanced FinFET and deep-submicron CMOS nodes. The role owns transistor-level architecture through layout, verification, and silicon bring-up while collaborating closely with layout, verification, and system teams.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end analog/mixed-signal design and silicon validation:
- Architect and implement high-speed SerDes (targeting ~80 Gbps and above) and associated analog building blocks.
- Perform transistor-level schematic design, simulations, and optimization for noise, power, and loop stability.
- Lead layout coordination: floorplanning, high-speed routing guidance, and design-for-signal-integrity practices.
- Drive verification activities, including Monte Carlo and corner simulations, to ensure robust silicon performance.
- Lead post-silicon bring-up, debug failures, and iterate builds based on silicon characterization data.
- Collaborate across teams (layout, verification, digital, system) and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional analog/mixed-signal build experience, with hands-on work in FinFET and deep-submicron CMOS processes.
- Proven experience with high-speed data and/or clock path design, including SerDes implementations.
- Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and strong simulation skills (Spectre, HSpice, FineSim, XA, or equivalent).
- Expertise in noise analysis, Monte Carlo methods, and complex loop stability analysis.
- Experience with analog and digital modeling, timing, and system-level verification integration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead post-silicon bring-up and debugging activities.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally to resolve system-level issues.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
