Senior Mixed Signal and Analog Circuit Designer
Role Summary
Responsible for designing high-speed mixed-signal and analog circuits for NVIDIA GPU and SoC products. The role sits on an analog design team focused on chip interfaces and complex analog functions and includes design, collaboration with physical/layout engineers, debug, characterization, and production support.
Contribute to critical interface and analog functions used in graphics and system-on-chip products.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5 years of relevant circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design state-of-the-art mixed-signal circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS processes.
- Develop high-speed chip interfaces and complex analog functions for GPUs and SoCs.
- Coordinate with physical/layout engineers on floorplanning and physical implementation.
- Support chip bring-up, debug, characterization, and product support through high-volume production.
- Automate tasks and flows using scripting where appropriate.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of analog circuit layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.
- Experience in multiple of: display interface PHYs (HDMI, LVDS, DVI, MIPI PHY, DisplayPort), USB, low-jitter clock synthesis/PLL, IO pads, high-speed serial links, ADCs.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, Skill, or similar).
- Extensive experience with analog design and simulation tools (Cadence custom design environment, Virtuoso, HSPICE or equivalent).
- Experience running and debugging DRC and LVS with verification tools.
- Effective written and verbal English communication and ability to work in a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with high-volume production support and characterization.
- Familiarity with additional analog verification tools (Finesim, XA).
Education Requirements
MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering. The posting specifies a minimum of 5 years of relevant circuit design experience.
