Senior Mixed Signal and Analog Circuit Designer
Role Summary
Senior analog/mixed-signal circuit designer on an analog team responsible for developing high-speed chip interfaces and complex analog functions for NVIDIA GPUs and SoC products.
Primary duties include designing mixed-signal circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS, coordinating with physical/layout engineers for implementation, and supporting debug, characterization and production readiness.
Experience Level
Senior level — requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant circuit design experience per the posting.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and deliver high-speed mixed-signal and analog circuit blocks and support them through production.
- Design state-of-the-art mixed-signal circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
- Develop high-speed chip interfaces and complex analog functions for GPUs and SoCs.
- Collaborate with physical/layout engineers on floorplanning and physical implementation.
- Support silicon debug, characterization, and high-volume production.
- Work with verification and manufacturing teams to resolve DRC/LVS and other issues.
Requirements
Key technical and interpersonal skills required and preferred.
Must-have:
- Proven understanding of analog circuit layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.
- Experience with one or more of: digital display interfaces (HDMI, LVDS, DVI, MIPI PHY, DisplayPort), USB, low-jitter clock synthesis/PLLs, IO pads, high-speed serial links, ADCs.
- Proficiency with analog design and verification tools (Cadence IC design environment, analog simulators such as HSpice, Finesim, XA).
- Expertise with Cadence custom circuit design tools, particularly Virtuoso.
- Experience running and debugging DRC and LVS with verification tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English and work collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, Skill or similar) for automation and flows.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience supporting products through high-volume production and characterization flows.
Education Requirements
M.S.E.E. (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. The posting specifies a minimum of 5 years of relevant circuit design experience.
