Job Title

Senior Memory Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Memory Design team to lead architecture, circuit design, implementation, and validation of next-generation DRAM products (LPDDR, DDR, and future memory technologies). The role partners with architecture, process integration, product engineering, verification, and system teams to deliver high-performance, low-power, reliable, and manufacturable memory solutions.

Experience Level

Senior-level engineer (senior designation). Typical candidates have extensive experience in memory design and tape-out cycles.

Responsibilities

Accountable for end-to-end memory design, verification, and silicon bring-up; technical leadership across multi-site teams.

  • Architect, design, implement, and validate DRAM/LPDDR/DDR circuits and sub-systems.
  • Lead layout activities including floor-planning, placement, routing, and parasitic modeling.
  • Create verification strategies and perform simulation with industry-standard tools.
  • Debug silicon, perform root-cause analysis, and drive tape-out revisions.
  • Collaborate with characterization, product engineering, process integration, package and signal integrity, test, and marketing teams to ensure manufacturability.
  • Develop models and methodologies for design validation and reticle experiments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead complex technical investigations and design reviews.
  • Drive improvements in design methodologies, automation, and best practices; apply AI-enabled tools where appropriate.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.

  • Proven experience in DRAM/LPDDR/DDR circuit design and memory subsystem architecture.
  • Strong analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design skills, including layout and parasitic extraction.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulators and verification methodologies.
  • Experience debugging silicon, performing root-cause analysis, and supporting bring-up and qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across process, product, package, test, and system teams.
  • Technical leadership experience: leading design reviews, mentoring engineers, and influencing roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled design tools and automation (desired).
