Senior Member of Technical Staff, Product Development Engineering
Role Summary
Technical leader responsible for defining, verifying, and optimizing full-chip test methodologies and on-chip DFT strategies across product development cycles.
Works with global design, software, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure testability from pre‑silicon through post‑silicon validation and to drive technical improvements in product quality and delivery.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 10–15 years of semiconductor product development experience and proven leadership of complex projects.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end product development activities with emphasis on testability and reliable delivery from pre‑silicon design to post‑silicon validation.
- Define and optimize full‑chip test methodologies and on‑chip DFT strategies.
- Introduce and champion advanced test and verification solutions to improve product quality and simplify processes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, software, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to embed test capabilities throughout the lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, promote knowledge sharing, and build technical capability within the team.
- Identify process and workflow improvements and proactively manage technical risks affecting schedules and quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Extensive hands‑on experience with DFT (Design‑for‑Test) and full‑chip test methodologies.
- Proven background in silicon validation and resolving complex hardware/verification issues.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a record of delivering technical solutions.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage technical risk.
Education Requirements
