Role Summary

Join a mixed-signal mask/layout team focusing on chiplet interface and high-speed datapath projects. The role delivers physical mask layout, floorplanning, and verification for sub-micron FinFET CMOS VLSI designs.

Experience Level

Senior - minimum 5+ years industry experience in mask and layout design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include producing and verifying layout for mixed-signal and high-speed circuits and collaborating with design teams during integration.

• Perform physical layout for mixed-signal functions, top-level integration, high-speed datapaths and clock networks using Cadence tools.
• Collaborate with mixed-signal design engineers to customize layouts for VLSI product integration.
• Participate in floorplanning and custom layout for chiplet interface projects.
• Verify layouts against schematics and design rules; run DRC/LVS checks and iterate to closure.
• Deliver high-quality layouts under aggressive schedules and respond to designer feedback quickly.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful performance.

• Must-have: 5+ years industry experience in mask and layout design for advanced CMOS (FinFET) technologies.
• Must-have: Deep practical experience with FinFET technology and advanced process design constraints.
• Must-have: Proficiency with Cadence custom circuit design tools, particularly Virtuoso.
• Must-have: Experience with DRC and LVS flows and ability to customize decks.
• Must-have: Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; strong attention to layout quality.
• Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Perl, Python, Skill) to automate layout and verification tasks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent practical experience; the posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
