Lead the Security IP hardware/firmware co-verification engineering team responsible for embedded microprocessor subsystems and hardware accelerators in leading-edge SoCs (security policy, cryptography, compression, DMA, etc.).
Manage team delivery, verification architecture, FW/HW co-design and cross-functional integration with SoC teams.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 7+ years of relevant experience managing engineering teams and leading ASIC/SoC verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, team management, and delivery of HW/FW co-verification for IP subsystems.
- Lead and grow a distributed engineering team; conduct performance reviews and career development.
- Define and maintain subsystem verification architecture, UVM testbenches, and C-DPI test methodology.
- Drive hardware/firmware co-verification using UVM/SystemVerilog, C-DPI and FPGA prototypes.
- Develop UVCs, system response models, integration/build/test scripts, and DV APIs for SoC integration.
- Create abstracted FW/HW performance models and target code to collect IP performance metrics.
- Collaborate with SoC integration, DV, emulation and silicon bring-up teams; support troubleshooting and delivery.
- Improve verification metrics and lead closure activities to meet schedule commitments.
Requirements
Must-have technical and managerial competencies; preferred items noted.
-
Must-have: Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams and delivering complex verification projects.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience with HW/FW co-verification using UVM/SystemVerilog, C-DPI, and FPGA prototyping.
-
Must-have: Experience with embedded CPUs, AXI/AHB buses, and hardware accelerators (cryptography, compression, DMA).
-
Must-have: Strong system and software engineering skills, debugging, scripting and verification automation.
-
Must-have: Excellent communication skills; able to present to executives and work with architects and engineers.
-
