Senior Manager, SDK Release

Role Summary

Lead SDK Release & Operations for a scalable SDK platform that supports multiple SoC families and product organizations. Own release execution, CI/CD infrastructure, configuration management, and operational support to ensure predictable, high-quality software deliveries from pre-silicon through production.

Work cross-functionally with software, validation, product, and customer-facing teams; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing SDK releases, operating CI/CD and build infrastructure, and leading a team of release and DevOps engineers.

  • Plan and execute SDK releases across multiple product programs; coordinate across software, validation, platform, and product teams.
  • Manage release operations for pre-silicon/virtual platforms, FPGA/emulation, engineering samples, customer evaluation programs, and production releases.
  • Lead build infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, test and release automation to improve quality and delivery cadence.
  • Oversee software configuration management: versioning, branching, baselines, and traceability of source, artifacts, and releases.
  • Drive consistency and repeatability of software delivery processes and adoption of common workflows across SDK programs.
  • Support release packaging, documentation, release notes, and customer enablement for internal and external deliveries.
  • Lead and develop a team; coach engineers, foster collaboration, and promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: 10+ years software engineering experience.
  • Must-have: 3+ years engineering or people management experience.
  • Must-have: Experience delivering embedded software, SDKs, or platform software.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with CI/CD, source control, and software release processes.
  • Must-have: Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in semiconductor or embedded systems development.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab or similar tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Zephyr, Linux, RTOS-based systems, and embedded toolchains.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience supporting silicon bring-up, customer evaluations, production programs, and knowledge of software compliance, cybersecurity, and SBOM practices.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required (as stated in the posting).
