Senior Manager, Project/Program Design (MCU Products)
Role Summary
Lead customer-facing MCU product programs from proposal through production launch and lifecycle support. Manage a team of project/program managers and coordinate cross-functional global engineering, operations, and quality teams to deliver MCU and SoC products on schedule, on budget, and meeting quality targets.
Primary focus: program execution, risk mitigation, customer alignment, and driving cross-functional delivery for MCU product lines.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years in semiconductor or related industries and 5+ years in technical or customer program/project management.
Responsibilities
Deliver and oversee end-to-end program execution for MCU products.
- Own integrated program schedules and maintain clear milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Track program KPIs including schedule, cost, quality, risk, and resource utilization.
- Drive execution readiness for silicon bring-up, software releases, validation, qualification, and production launch.
- Identify execution risks proactively and lead mitigation and recovery plans.
- Coordinate global cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, product marketing, applications, quality, and supply chain.
- Ensure alignment between customer commitments and internal execution capabilities; act as primary escalation point for customer and internal stakeholders.
- Report program status to executives and stakeholders; negotiate schedule and resource tradeoffs.
- Mentor and manage program managers; develop program management processes and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- 8+ years of experience in semiconductor, embedded systems, automotive electronics, or related industries.
- 5+ years in technical program management, customer program management, or project execution roles.
- Experience managing complex MCU or SoC product development programs.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, software development lifecycles, and semiconductor product development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional global teams and manage customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
Nice to have: experience with automotive electronics, qualification/test/validation flows, supply chain coordination, and prior people-management experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
