Senior Manager, Neural Graphics Chips, Platforms and APIs
Role Summary
Lead a Finland-based graphics systems software team through a transition toward AI-first graphics. The role combines technical leadership, roadmap ownership, cross-team collaboration, and people management to deliver GPU chips, platforms, and APIs that integrate classical graphics and new AI-driven rendering technologies.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 10+ years in graphics, GPU, or platform engineering with 5+ years leading engineering teams.
Responsibilities
You will set strategy for the local graphics team, drive execution across hardware and software, and raise the team’s AI capabilities while maintaining production-quality graphics systems.
- Lead and develop a team of graphics systems engineers and technical leaders.
- Create and own team strategy, roadmaps, priorities, and schedules.
- Drive predictable execution across graphics chips, platforms, and APIs.
- Collaborate with GPU architecture, hardware, research, and platform teams on technical direction and hardware/software co-design.
- Strengthen collaboration between the Finland team and the broader graphics organization.
- Mentor engineers and technical leaders; hire and develop talent.
- Improve engineering practices, infrastructure, and AI-assisted (agentic) development workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- 10+ years of experience in graphics, GPU, or platform engineering.
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering production-quality systems.
- Deep understanding of GPU architecture, graphics/compute pipelines, system software, and hardware/software co-design.
- Experience in at least two of: graphics drivers, shader compilation, graphics/compute APIs, or shading languages.
- Proven success leading cross-functional software teams and shipping production-quality systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and demonstrated success increasing adoption within engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with classical or compute-based graphics (Vulkan/OpenGL drivers, SPIR-V, shader translation) or AI-based graphics (neural rendering, differentiable graphics, world models).
- Experience with chip bring-up for new GPUs or SoCs.
- Track record of leading organizational pivots and improving execution across global teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
