Role Summary
Senior leadership role owning manufacturing test strategy and operations for advanced, high-performance SoCs. The role combines hands-on ATE engineering (Advantest V93K, SmarTest SMT7/SMT8) with lab build-up, OSAT engagement, yield optimization and production ramp.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires extensive experience; posting specifies 15+ years in semiconductor test engineering.
Responsibilities
Lead test strategy, lab build-out, and production readiness across the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Define and drive end-to-end manufacturing test strategy for advanced SoCs.
- Lead ATE strategy for bring-up, characterization, qualification and production.
- Develop and maintain Advantest V93K (EXA Scale) platforms and SmarTest test programs (SMT7/SMT8).
- Perform silicon bring-up, characterization, debug and yield analysis.
- Design test flows, binning strategies, and test methods (Scan/ATPG, MBIST, HSIO, Functional).
- Build test labs and infrastructure (testers, probe/loadboards, thermal systems, automation, data pipelines).
- Manage OSAT relationships, production transfer, correlation and ramp activities.
- Recruit, build and lead a test engineering team; manage vendors and cross-functional delivery to production.
Requirements
Core, demonstrable skills and experience required for the role.
- 15+ years in semiconductor test engineering (required).
- Proven experience with Advantest V93K (EXA Scale).
- Deep, hands-on expertise in SmarTest (SMT7/SMT8) test program development (required).
- Strong background in ATE, DFT, bring-up and yield analysis.
- Experience with complex, high-performance SoCs and production ramp with OSATs.
