Role Summary

Lead the India-based Digitalization organization to modernize hardware engineering through automation, AI, reusable digital assets, and engineering knowledge platforms. Deliver enterprise-grade automation platforms and governance that improve productivity across PCB design, board development, compliance, and embedded systems workflows.

This is a strategic leadership role collaborating with global hardware engineering, product groups, and central platform stakeholders to drive technology adoption and engineering reuse.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role expects extensive experience: the posting specifies 18+ years of relevant engineering experience and 5+ years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead transformation, platform delivery, and team development with measurable engineering impact.

• Define and drive enterprise-wide digital engineering transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Lead design and delivery of engineering automation platforms for PCB, board development, compliance, embedded systems, and related workflows.
• Establish AI-enabled automation standards, governance frameworks, and quality practices across engineering organizations.
• Build and scale a Digital Asset Factory for reusable assets, models, reference implementations, and engineering knowledge.
• Define lifecycle management, governance, and reuse strategies for digital engineering assets.
• Integrate engineering knowledge systems with Central Workspace and other engineering platforms.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to deliver automation and platform expertise.
• Partner with hardware engineering, product groups, and global stakeholders to accelerate adoption and measure business impact.
• Influence the roadmap and future direction of engineering tools, automation platforms, and digital capabilities.

Requirements

Must-have technical background, leadership, and delivery experience.

• 18+ years of experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, engineering platforms, automation, or related domains.
• 5+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering large-scale transformation programs.
• Proven experience delivering engineering automation platforms and workflow orchestration solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AI-enabled hardware development workflows, including PCB design, embedded systems, board development, compliance engineering, and validation.
• Experience with engineering knowledge systems, digital asset management, and reusable engineering frameworks.
• Track record of defining technology strategy, organizational roadmaps, governance, and standardization for engineering tools.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across global engineering organizations and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience integrating engineering knowledge systems with Central Workspace or similar central engineering platforms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (as stated in the posting).
