Role Summary

Lead and manage a team of digital IC designers responsible for optical control ICs used in AI data center and cloud infrastructure. The role owns technical direction and delivery from architecture and RTL implementation through integration, verification support, and tape-out.

Focus areas include digital architecture, implementation quality, schedule predictability, cross-functional alignment with system, analog/mixed-signal, verification, physical design and firmware teams.

Experience Level

Senior — requires substantial prior experience. The posting specifies 8+ years of relevant digital IC or SoC design experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, project execution, and people management across digital design activities.

• Lead RTL design for complex IP blocks and chip-top/subsystem integration.
• Drive architecture and micro-architecture trade-offs for performance, power, area, timing, and reliability.
• Own execution from architecture definition through RTL delivery, synthesis readiness, timing closure support, and tape-out.
• Conduct regular design reviews, ensure documentation quality, and enforce disciplined issue closure.
• Define and manage project plans, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify technical and cross-functional risks and drive them to resolution to meet product objectives.
• Partner with system, analog/mixed-signal, verification, firmware, physical design, test, and product teams for SoC integration.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team; improve processes, review practices, and design methodology.

• Must-have: 8+ years of experience in digital IC or SoC design with ownership of complex IP blocks, subsystems, or full-chip designs.
• Must-have: Hands-on expertise in digital architecture, RTL design and micro-architecture definition.
• Must-have: Strong knowledge of digital design flows including synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), clock/reset strategy, CDC/RDC considerations, and physical implementation handoff.
• Must-have: Familiarity with block- and system-level verification methodologies and ability to collaborate with verification teams on coverage, debug, and sign-off readiness.
• Must-have: Proven experience leading projects and managing engineers, including driving execution and resolving technical challenges.
• Must-have: Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to align global cross-functional teams.
• Must-have: Comfortable operating in fast-paced AI data center product development environments; self-driven and resilient.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with mixed-signal SoC integration for optical or data-center applications.
• Other: Position may require travel (~10%) and first-shift/daytime availability.

Education Requirements
