The role is cross-functional and requires coordination with silicon engineering, software, product and test engineering to define methodologies, execute characterization plans, and accelerate time-to-market.

Experience Level

Senior - requires significant industry leadership and technical experience; the posting specifies 15+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning and executing characterization activities, managing the team, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable fast product bring-up and validation.

  • Lead and grow the characterization team through hiring and internal development.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams to accelerate first-silicon bring-up and validation.
  • Define high-speed characterization methodologies and required lab/infrastructure for FPGA and SoC products.
  • Plan and drive execution of characterization tasks, track schedules, and report status to core teams.
  • Characterize IP including digital high-speed peripherals, PLLs, oscillators, and FPGAs; correlate pre-silicon models with silicon measurements.
  • Develop and improve automated characterization flows to increase coverage and reduce cycle time.
  • Support customer requests to accelerate adoption and revenue ramp.
