Senior Manager, ASIC Verification — Interface IP (PCIe/CXL)
Role Summary
Lead verification strategy and alignment between Verification IP (VIP) and Design IP teams for PCIe and CXL interface IP. Act as the subject-matter expert on protocol specification, errata, and verification best practices to improve coverage, traceability, and VIP deployment across products.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on closing the gap between VIP capabilities and real design verification needs, and improving verification rigor and repeatability.
- Align VIP capabilities with Design IP verification requirements; identify and prioritize gaps for Controller and PHY.
- Define requirements for VIP derived from real Design IP use cases and test needs.
- Track PCI Express specification updates, ECNs, and errata; convert changes into actionable requirements for VIP and Design teams.
- Review and improve testplans across projects, driving coverage and traceability standards.
- Report VIP deployment metrics and lead continuous improvements in VIP integration and usage.
- Work hands-on with UVM-based verification environments to validate VIP usage and demonstrate best practices.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role.
- 15+ years of hands-on digital verification experience, with significant time on PCI Express or other high-speed serial protocols.
- Deep subject-matter expertise in PCIe Link Layer and PHY Layer, including specifications, ECNs, and errata.
- Proven experience in IP product development or deploying VIP to verify complex Design IP.
- Strong practical knowledge of UVM and UVM-based verification environments.
- Experience driving results in cross-functional, matrixed organizations across geographies.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with CXL or other coherent interconnect protocols.
