Senior Logic Design Engineer β€” Design for Test (DFT)

Role Summary

Member of the Non-Volatile NAND Design Engineering group responsible for defining, integrating, and validating DFT architectures for advanced NAND Flash products. The role sits in the NVEG organization at Micron Semiconductor Italia and works across digital logic, custom circuits, firmware, and silicon validation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on DFT architecture, test strategy, and silicon validation for NAND designs.

  • Define, implement, and optimize DFT architectures and test strategies for digital and custom circuit blocks.
  • Analyze testability and coverage to meet quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Develop and validate test sequences, NAND test algorithms, and verification methodologies at block and chip level.
  • Support DFT integration, silicon bring-up, debug, and production ramp in collaboration with cross-functional teams and Product Engineering.
  • Document DFT architectures, methods, and results to improve test quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: Strong understanding of digital design, verification, and DFT/test principles.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with simulation and validation methodologies for digital or mixed-signal designs.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively in dynamic, multi-functional environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with design automation, scripting, or AI-assisted design and test approaches.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with silicon validation, debug, yield analysis, and laboratory testing at wafer/package level.

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
