Role Summary

Lead microarchitecture and RTL development for AI acceleration IPs and subsystems, taking blocks from concept through pre-silicon and silicon bring-up. Work within a small, cross-functional team in Haifa focused on next-generation GenAI hardware.

This role emphasizes technical leadership, high-quality RTL delivery, and practical adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools across the design flow.

Experience Level

Senior-level engineer. The role expects experienced candidates (the posting indicates 6+ years of hands-on logic design experience).

Responsibilities

Deliver and lead microarchitecture and RTL design efforts; collaborate across teams to integrate and bring IPs to silicon.

• Define microarchitecture and implement RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for complex AI acceleration IPs and subsystems.
• Drive architectural trade-offs across performance, power, area, timing, and complexity aligned to system goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship; set design conventions, review RTL, and raise design quality standards.
• Champion and help apply AI-assisted engineering tools to improve the design and verification flow.
• Partner with architects, verification, DFT, and physical design to achieve integration, timing closure, and bring-up.
• Lead pre-silicon debug and root-cause analysis and drive issues to resolution.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required to perform the role.

• Must-have: Hands-on RTL and microarchitecture experience delivering complex designs to silicon; strong Verilog/SystemVerilog proficiency.
• Must-have: Demonstrated ability to make system-level architectural trade-offs (performance, power, area, timing).
• Must-have: Experience with pre-silicon debug, root-cause analysis, and collaborating with verification, DFT, and physical design teams.
• Must-have: Practical orientation toward adopting and applying AI-assisted engineering tools, or clear interest in doing so.
• Nice-to-have: Experience designing accelerators, datapath or compute-heavy IPs for AI/ML and familiarity with mapping deep learning/LLM workloads to hardware.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with the full development cycle including verification strategies, DFT, and physical design considerations.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
