Senior Local Product Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for product engineering activities at contract manufacturing lines (Jabil, Pune), bridging R&D and high-volume manufacturing for NVIDIA networking hardware. Collaborates with hardware, firmware/software, mechanical integration, test, quality, reliability, and operations teams to move products from build to mass production.
Experience Level
Senior-level; typically 5+ years of technical experience in hardware design, systems, failure analysis, debugging, or product engineering.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead cross-functional task forces to investigate and resolve quality events and failure modes.
- Perform root-cause analysis and develop test plans; monitor and control test yield across stations.
- Provide onsite tier-1 engineering support for test validation, test infrastructure, station setup, and troubleshooting.
- Introduce and train contract manufacturer (CM) engineering teams on new tests and procedures.
- Coordinate with hardware/firmware/software R&D, architecture, test engineering, quality & reliability, and operations.
- Work from the Jabil Pune factory site and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- 5+ years technical experience in hardware design, systems, failure analysis, debugging, or product engineering.
- Experience with electronic product manufacturing processes and test yield management.
- Proficient using lab equipment, lab setups, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with failure analysis methodologies and test planning.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work on-site at the CM facility in Pune.
- Self-motivated, collaborative teammate who keeps current with FA methodologies.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience as a test engineer or product engineer.
- Board/system design experience.
- Familiarity with ICT/JTAG, reliability tests (Burn-In, HASS), and ATE functional tests.
- Experience with Linux and scripting languages such as Perl/Python.
Education Requirements
B.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
