Senior Lead Engineer - IP Verification

Role Summary

Individual contributor responsible for IP and subsystem verification of complex, multi‑million gate designs. Collaborate with systems, design, FPGA, SoC and validation teams to achieve first‑pass success using simulation, hardware modeling, formal methods and pre/post‑silicon validation.

Experience Level

Senior — 7–13 years of experience in IP/subsystem verification preferred.

Responsibilities

Own verification strategy, implementation and quality for IP/SubSystem projects and drive improvements to achieve defect‑free deliveries.

• Evaluate and deploy verification methodologies for complex IP and subsystem designs.
• Develop and own testplans and testbenches to ensure functional and performance coverage with feature traceability.
• Lead end‑to‑end verification activities: TB development, simulation, debug, regression management and gate‑level runs.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements to ensure quality across project cycles.
• Collaborate with multi‑site teams and support pre‑silicon validation, hardware emulation and system integration.
• Mentor peers and influence verification methodology and tooling choices across teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant domain experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Must-have: 7–13 years of IP/subsystem verification experience on complex, multi‑million gate designs with multiple clock domains.
• Hands‑on experience with HVLs and HDLs: UVM, SystemVerilog, C++, Verilog, VHDL; PLI/DPI and common simulators (VCS, NCsim, Questa, ModelSim).
• Proven experience in testbench and testplan development, simulation debug, functional coverage, assertions/SVA and regression planning.
• Familiarity with ARM‑based microcontroller architectures and protocols (AHB/AMBA, AXI) and memory subsystems (Flash, SRAM, DDR) and controllers.
• Exposure to formal verification methodologies and pre‑silicon validation/emulation.
• Nice-to-have: Automotive graphics/vision accelerator experience; demonstrated verification methodology leadership (especially for candidates with 10+ years).
