Job Title
Senior Lead Engineer
Role Summary
Lead RTL integration and subsystem development for high-performance SoC designs. Work across the RTL design flow from architecture-level design through synthesis, verification signoffs, and SoC integration, focusing on ARM-based cores, interconnects, and bus protocols.
Expect to collaborate with IP teams, backend engineering, and verification to ensure timing, CDC/LINT/RDC quality, and functional safety requirements are met.
Experience Level
Senior β the role targets experienced engineers. The posting cites 6β10 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on RTL and SoC integration work, technical reviews, and design signoffs.
- Design and integrate subsystems and SoC RTL for ARM-core based designs.
- Perform RTL-to-synthesis flow tasks: coding reviews, synthesis runs, and ECOs.
- Execute LINT, CDC, and RDC signoffs and address violations to achieve release-quality designs.
- Lead IP integration reviews and evaluate backend (BE) reports for concurrent engineering.
- Collaborate with verification and backend teams to resolve integration, timing, and DFT issues.
- Drive technical issues to closure and coordinate cross-functional problem resolution.
- Document design decisions and provide clear written and verbal status to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and behavioral expectations.
- Proven experience in high-performance digital logic design and SoC integration using ARM cores, bus protocols, and interconnects.
- Hands-on experience with RTL simulation and debug tools such as Synopsys VCS or Cadence RTL simulators and Verdi for debugging.
- Experience with synthesis tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, RTL Compiler or Cadence Genus.
- Track record of performing LINT/CDC/RDC analysis and completing signoffs for complex designs.
- Ability to perform full SoC design flow tasks from high-level design to synthesis and integration.
- Strong problem-solving, logical analysis, and effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience conducting IP integration reviews and interpreting backend engineering reports.
-
Nice-to-have: familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety concepts and low-power design techniques.
Education Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering is specified.
