Role Summary
Join the Chip Methodology & Automation (CMA) team in Solutions Engineering to define, develop, and deploy DFT methodologies, flows, and automation for Arm-based SoCs. The role drives alignment across architecture, implementation, CAD, product engineering, customers, and partners to integrate DFT into RTL-to-GDS flows.

Responsibilities
The role is responsible for delivering scalable, reusable DFT methodology and automation and for leading technical integration across teams.
- Develop and maintain DFT methodologies, flows, automation, and reference solutions for Arm-based SoCs.
- Integrate DFT into end-to-end RTL-to-GDS implementation and silicon enablement flows.
- Collaborate with architecture, implementation, CAD, product engineering, customers, and ecosystem partners to ensure successful deployment.
- Evaluate and enable new DFT capabilities with EDA vendors and technology partners.
- Lead technical reviews, resolve complex integration challenges, and drive methodology improvements.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the DFT and automation roadmap within CMA.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items listed separately.
- Strong industry experience in DFT implementation, methodology development, and flow integration for complex SoCs.
- Deep knowledge of scan, compression, ATPG, MBIST/LBIST, JTAG/IEEE 1149.x, IEEE 1687, and hierarchical DFT methodologies.
- Experience integrating DFT into implementation, verification, and signoff flows.
- Hands-on expertise with industry-standard DFT EDA tools.
- Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, Tcl, Shell, or similar).
- Excellent debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functional technical direction.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with advanced-node SoC development, chiplet or multi-die architectures, or CAD/methodology automation infrastructure.
- Knowledge of automotive, safety, or production test requirements.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
