Job Title
Senior Lead Analog Post-Silicon Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Lead post-silicon analog validation and characterization for Automotive Ethernet products. Define validation strategy, develop test hardware and automation, execute parametric and system-level tests across PVT corners, and drive root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 8+ years of experience in analog bench validation and silicon characterization.
Responsibilities
Own and execute post-silicon validation from planning through sign-off. Work closely with design, test, systems, and quality teams to ensure product requirements are met.
- Define and own validation plans and schedules covering device-, system-, and compliance-level requirements.
- Develop reusable test methods, automation frameworks, and instrument drivers (LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, MATLAB, VBA).
- Design and develop scalable validation boards meeting signal- and power‑integrity requirements.
- Perform parametric data collection and automated characterization across PVT corners.
- Debug post-silicon failures; perform systematic root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Analyze correlation between lab evaluation and ATE test results; collaborate with test engineers to close gaps.
- Lead cross-functional reviews for validation boards, test results, and debug activities.
- Prepare comprehensive test plans, document results, and track validation progress to completion.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience for immediate contribution.
- 8+ years of experience in analog bench validation and characterization.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals: DC power, gain, settling time, temperature coefficients, DAC/ADC INL/DNL.
- Experience validating analog blocks such as BGR, temperature sensors, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, and IO circuits.
- Proficiency with bench automation and scripting using MATLAB, Python, and LabVIEW; experience with TestStand and VBA is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience debugging bench setups and developing instrument drivers; strong familiarity with power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to interpret datasheets and prepare/execute detailed test plans; experience with PVT characterization.
- Experience validating digital IP (Ethernet, SGMII, high-speed serial interfaces) and mixed-signal IPs/SoC IOs is preferred.
- Experience in Automotive and Ethernet-based systems is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
