Job Title

Senior IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join Arm's SoC Security verification team to design and verify security IP and subsystems including cryptography, key management, secure boot, and hardware root of trust. The role covers specification, test planning, testbench development, verification, and productization of Security IP across SoC products.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 10+ years of experience in design or verification of compute subsystems or SoCs.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on planning and executing functional verification for security IP and collaborating with design and project teams for sign-off.

  • Develop verification plans, testbenches, and test strategies for security IP and subsystems.
  • Implement UVM/SystemVerilog/Verilog and C-based tests; integrate formal and HW/FW co-verification where applicable.
  • Debug test failures, investigate root causes, and drive defect closure with design teams.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to achieve functional, power, and performance sign-off.
  • Contribute to and improve team verification methodologies and automation.
  • Mentor and support other engineers and coordinate with project management on schedules and deliverables.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience.

  • Extensive experience with SystemVerilog/UVM and Verilog for verification.
  • Experience with C and low-level programming; familiarity with assembler and firmware debug.
  • Experience in security hardware verification (applied cryptography, secure boot, key management) and embedded processor systems.
  • Proven knowledge of complex SoC architecture: multi-clock domains, AXI/AHB protocols, multi-power domains, and reset architectures.
  • Experience with formal verification and hardware/firmware co-verification techniques.
  • Scripting experience (Perl, Python, Tcl or similar) to develop automation and flows.
  • Experience verifying SoC projects including embedded microprocessors; familiarity with ARM architectures is preferred.

Nice-to-have:

  • Clock domain crossing verification experience.
  • Power-aware verification experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
